I believe we choose to heal when the timing is right. It’s this innate wisdom that can inspire us to live more mindfully and purposefully, with greater compassion and love for self and others.  When we choose to live with conscious awareness and intention, we become clear about our values and beliefs. This process acts as a roadmap, leading us closer to unveiling the truths that we are seeking. When we shed the veils that cloud our vision, we begin to see things as they really are, without objections or conflicts to gaining these insights. It is from this place of humility and self-knowledge that we move closer to the objects of our attraction, whatever those aspirations may be. My role is to help you gain understanding and help you navigate your own particular path of healing with clarity and wisdom.


My career in Social Work started in 2005, when I worked as an Associate Social Worker with female ex-offenders in recovery.  Since becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2016, I’ve worked in a variety of settings with clients of all ages, doing Parent/Infant, Individual, Family, and Couples Therapy. I’m extremely passionate about the work that I do and regularly participate in ongoing trainings to expand my knowledge and clinical skills. Treatment Specializations and Skills Include:

Techniques and Approaches:


Brief Solution-Focused Therapy – Prioritizes current problems solutions, builds on strengths and uses present resources.


Energy Psychology – Utilizes a mind-body approach to understanding and improving human functioning.


Emotional Freedom Technique – Helps to identify and understand unresolved emotional issues that can cause limiting beliefs and emotional stress.  I also practice Energy Medicine to help restore balance to their nervous system and assist in healing from trauma.  Also known as Tapping or EFT Tapping.


Mindfulness – Learning to be aware of thoughts and feelings in the moment.


Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy – Focusing on changing negative thinking and behavior patterns that lead to problems, this is an evidenced based therapy.

Parent/Infant Therapy – focuses on attachment and patterns of interaction between parent and/or guardian and child and aims to relieve emotional disturbances within this dyad.   This model of therapy is particularly effective to help treat postnatal depression and anxiety, infant distress with breastfeeding and sleep, and attachment disorders.


Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) – BSFT is a brief intervention that focuses on a family system approach and patterns of interaction, and plans interventions that target and provide practical ways to change habitual patterns of interaction that repeat over time.


Psychoanalysis – Focus on promoting insight into feelings, thoughts, and behaviors, works toward changing long-term patterns. 


Motivational Interviewing – More focused and goal-directed, client-centered counseling style for eliciting behavior change by helping clients explore and resolve ambivalence.


Support and Psychoeducation – Providing compassionate assistance during difficult times and offering practical education and information to empower the individual.


Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy - As a certified yoga teacher, I also use yoga therapy when clinically appropriate and/or of interest to a client. This model aims to help clients regain comfort in their bodies, counteract rumination, and improve self-regulation.
