MEET
My name is Phyllis Washington and I am a Psychotherapist. I currently hold a Bachelors Degree from Chapman University in Counseling and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from National University. Some of the characteristics that defines me is the ability to connect with my clients to help them feel safe, open up, share and explore what is in their mind and hearts. I bring 8 years of experience working with Individuals, Couples, Families and Groups utilizing an eclectic approach (e.g. Gestalt, Psychotherapy, CBT). In addition, I have had the privilege of working with children ages 6 to 11 that have experienced personal trauma. Utilizing mindfulness strategies, play and art therapy, I support my clients in developing coping skills to enable them to become healthy functional individuals.
I believe in the human heart and that people have the courage and resilience to heal themselves. In collaboration with you, we will develop achievable goals to assist you in getting to the root of your problem.
